Some are more durable, whereas the other has a different texture. It is important to choose the right kind of roofing sheet (which is also known as ‘แผ่นหลังคา’ in the Thai language)in order to ensure the longevity of the roof.
Different types of roofing sheets as follows:
Corrugated Roofing Sheets: They are the strongest roofing sheets among the others and are available in different materials. Galvanized steel sheets and polyester painted sheets are the widely used ones. Such sheets are best suited for areas with less pollution. It requires to be maintained once in five years.
Metal Roofing Sheets: These sheets are mostly used for garages and gardens. They are light weight and are available in different colors and textures. Industrial sheds often opt for such roofing sheets. Roof light panels can be installed depending on the size of the roof that would allow light to pass through the roof directly.
Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets: They are easy to use, PH neutral, thus oil, water or solvents do not affect these types of sheets. They are the best suitable even when exposed to harsh weather conditions.
The other types of roofing material available are pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) steel sheets and pre-painted galvalume steel (PPGL) sheets. They are zinc and alloy coated sheets that provide corrosion resistance. Choose sheets which suits your need and budget.
