Some Of The Things That You Should Know About Micron Technology

Micron Technology, Inc. engages in the provision of innovative memory and storage solutions. It operates through the following segments: Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU); Mobile Business Unit (MBU); Storage Business Unit (SBU); and Embedded Business Unit (EBU).

Micron Technology in Flash programmers:

  1. XStream-Iso and XStreamPro-Iso adapters can directly program External Flash memory from Micron Technology Inc when it is connected via a serial peripheral interface to the programmer.

  • Using FlashPro-M and GangPro-M software.

  • Micron Technology memory must be connected to the programming adapter via a serial peripheral interface

  • Up to 1 MBytes/s programming (up to 20MHz, depending on target memory).

  • I/O port configuration can also be saved in configuration files and used in DLL or shared libraries.

  • Supports QSPI, SPI programming.

2. The XStreamPro-Iso adapter can program External Flash memory using JTAG/SWD when it is connected to MCU SPI peripheral.

  • Can program both target MCU internal flash and any connected external flash from Micron using JTAG/SWD interface only. Does NOT require a connection between the programmer and external SPI flash memory. The target MCU is used as a proxy for programming.

  • Using FlashPro-ARM and GangPro-ARM software.

  • Micron memory must be connected to the target MCU via a working serial peripheral interface (OCTOSPI, Dual-QSPI, QSPI, SPI, etc.).

  • I/O port configuration utility provided in GUI. Allows interactive configuration of MCU peripheral interface pins to memory.

  • I/O port configuration can also be saved in configuration files and used in DLL or shared libraries.

  • Supports JTAG, cJTAG, and SWD communication (this is dependent on target MCU).

  • Supports OCTOSPI, Dual-QSPI, QSPI, SPI programming (multiple ports and modules dependent on target MCU).
